So we got back in town on Monday afternoon and it has rained ever since. We have a retention area next to our house and a small stream in the back yard. They have both been busy. The great thing about rain is that if you have the awesome opportunity to be a home – you can get an awfully lot done – or not. For me, today I have gotten an unbelievable amount done. Closets cleaned out, bathrooms cleaned, laundry done, baked some cookies…….went through the mail, did some filing! whew! I’m tired just writing about it.
Now about the abs. I have been doing Pilates and Yoga for the last two mornings. I CANNOT believe how sore I am…..I love Yoga. It is so calming to me. And you have no idea how much you are working your body….It feels good too!
And now for the carbs! I’ve certainly had more than my share lately. I was doing so well on weight watchers for so long and then I went to “Lifetime’ –how hard it is to keep your mind and body under control for lifetime. But wasn’t that what going through weightwatchers was all about. Learning new techniques to keep you on track for a lifetime. Now that I’m working for them I guess the good thing about going through this is to be able to identify with the folks who come through the doors — it’s hard == its unbelievably hard,,,especially if you are an emotional eater (which I totally am)….and carbs call my name constantly. today has been a good day. I’ve been in charge of my eating.
So, what will tomorrow bring. Dan and Elizabeth come home this weekend and i will be so happy to see them…..hopefully the whole family can get together. I’ll be doing Zumba in the morning. Chris got me started on this so I figure on day of yoga and the next of Zumba and a little walking in between — writing down each thing I eat and making wise choices…..a great way to get a new year off to a good start. I’ll be 54 on Monday… My mom died at 56 of a major heart attack. I’m trying to do all I can to not make that a possibility in my life.
The rain has stopped. My husband is locking the doors and it feels so good and safe to be inside. See you tomorrow
